Sorry to keep clogging this up with my little project, but I put the body together and I’m really happy with it!
Finish came out pretty nice I think - pretty smooth and a nice shine - has a nice sort of amber glow in direct light. I recovered the pickguard with a vinyl wrap which did get a bit bubbly/chewed up a bit when I put the screws - a bit annoying but I can live with it.
Just need to finish the headstock and put the neck together. Have already levelled and re-crowned the frets.

As much as I’m a sucker for a matching headstock I’m really not a fan of mismatched pickups
Probably good for my bank balance tbh, if this had twin P90s in it or something I would be sweating
really like it, used to be a real purist about trem placement but since getting the antonoff gretsch think it is an improvement (but looks a bit off on a jazzmaster). really like the colour scheme too, although I would probably put a black cover on the neck pickup. wonder what the neck radius is. moot I guess as i’m boycotting fender
I put a pair of P90s in two blacktops I’ve owned (one silver, one orange) and it does make for a very nice guitar. Still not as good as the original Mascis version though imo.

Have previously been tempted to pick up a BCR2000, though they were still slightly silly money second-hand last time I looked. A brand new version with the sequencer properly built in is pretty tempting, especially with CV/gate and sync in/out connections. (Not that I have much by way of analogue/modular, but y’know how it is…)

I’ve got a BCR2000 in a cupboard somewhere. Built like a tank. Does what it says on the tin. Will probably outlive me.

Like lyserge I’ve considered buying one loads but always been mildly put off by the prices. A pal has one set up as a Zaquencer and it seems like great fun.

I’m looking at getting a Korg D1, which is very much proper digital keyboard/piano/etc, but lacking in controls as far as being a proper midi controller, so one of these would be perfect…
