I’m quite enjoying Hap and Leonard on Prime TV - it’s kind of a southern noir thing based on some pulpy novels (with Omar from the Wire and Christina Hendricks)

Annoyingly season 3 is not all on there yet and I’m having to watch an episode a week like a chump from 2005

nah that kinda dies away a wee bit, they focus more on the kids and there’s a really good character who appears just after then and kinda picks things up a bit, definitely worth going back to

if they are I can’t find it. I am technically a book wanker, but I read it so long ago I’ve only got hazy memories of it (basically forgotten the plot, but still pretty clear on the set up, which I guess is what I guess you’d be curious to see the non-BWs responses to). FWIW I thought the first episode was decent, good enough to keep me watching at any rate.

near the end of season 6. i detested roger at the start but i’ve grown really fond of him as it’s gone on. don has become a full on piece of shit which is a bit depressing tbh.

I think season six is probably the show at its bleakest especially with Don’s arc. Roger’s character definitely grows on you but he can still be a total shit like the best / rest of them!

I thought season 3 was absolutely brilliant and the best of the 3, so i’d definitely recommend it.

We watched all the episodes last weekend. It’s been quite a few years since I read the books, but I liked the programme a lot. There are a few things that they’ve done which I didn’t like, but which I understood the reasons for them doing so, however, I thought that the atmosphere and the way it was shot was terrific.

the tv is into this show called the alienist so i watched one last night. holy hell it was bad. then tried to watch the city and the city but that was so dreadful that neither of us wanted to finish it, so instead i’ve smashed about 8 episodes of the last alaskans on animal planet. great show/10
