Album is really good! Ngl, I thought the second one was a slight misstep, although it had some good tracks, and I started to think he might not live up to the debut. He settled too much in that lane of Bloc Party-ish post punk, when his big strength was how versatile across different styles he was.
Here he’s back to exploring different styles and crossing genre boundaries, and the songwriting is stronger too. Seems he’s broken out a bit (over 1m listeners on Spotify, a strong Pitchfork review, play on 6 Music etc), and I think the style is becoming more prominent in general

Agree, a good return to form after the disappointing 2nd. Glad he’s finally getting some traction because he should be massive after that first album.
Wish the tour visited the Brudenel.
