Would argue that the sound of chillwave has gone on to be quietly influential and that a lot of stuff coming out now owes a debt to Toro Y Moi/Neon Indian/Washed Out

Wouldn’t disagree with that. I loved those records at the time from Toro, Washed out and Small Black, seem to remember to genre became quite quickly derided for some reason.

Chillwave forever

Sadly sold out when Jacob Rees-Mogg named his kids after it.

Oh crap, day ruined, I just typed JRM into Twitter instead of what I meant to search for, which was the 2019-20 fixture list for Glossop North End

Possibly tropical house, thankfully

Electro swing. It is dead, isn’t it? Please say it’s dead. I don’t think I could bear to go on in a world where electro swing wasn’t dead.

Shroomadelica (though I think this was just The Coral wasn’t it?)

No, the NME also tried to lump Delays and The Bees into this

Think they even tried to lump Goldie Lookin Chain in with it!

Big beat.

Which I always rather enjoyed. I’d love to hear from the Propellerheads again.
