Got sacked from a succession of crappy Saturday jobs as a teenager - because I was basically incompetent and lazy.

I worked in a garage for a short while, sweeping/mopping/cleaning up after the mechanics. They replaced me while I was on holiday. I only found out when I went in to do my first shift after getting back, and found someone else doing my job.

I then went to work in a petrol station. I was sacked after the second time I put petrol in a diesel car.

I was on something called ‘critical report’ in year 9 which meant I had to get three ticks in every single lesson for good behaviour otherwise I had a detention on a Friday afternoon after school so for a full year I had a detention on every Friday afternoon after school

Simpler times. We had citizenship lessons with Miss Batty so they really hadn’t left me with a choice

yep, started bunking off every Friday. Teacher called my house and left an answer machine message while I was at the house, bunking off. Obviously deleted it.

i got someone else suspended (tbf she was bullying me in a really targeted way) and the headmistress did a mediation between us. never had any trouble from the girl again, mainly because she just stopped coming into school permanently

there was also a day where she was put into isolation and she climbed out the window, jumped onto the roof below, clambered off that and strolled off home

Obviously she’s awful for bullying you, that’s horrible, but this is a power move and it’s hard to not respect it.

Once got fired from a job after two months (so still within probation), for basically being useless at it.

Best bit is I got offered the job in the interview. Crash and burn, baby. Crash. and. burn.

Saturday morning detention was quite a regular fixture for me at one point. Teacher didn’t even turn up half the time.

yeah just a desk in a tiny room facing a wall. Teacher would come in a couple of times a day to give you more work just usually timewasting general studies type crap
