Had a pretty big wedding. We paid a lot, her parents paid a fair whack, mine made a small contribution. I would have happily got married on our own terms and spent a lot less, but we had an amazing day, everyone had a nice time, and no one seems to begrudge the money they spent on it, so yeah, all cool.

Have a mortgage and two kids with the TV and will probably get married at some point, if only for the romantic notion of tax planning.

We’d both like to elope, maybe even Gretna Green the whole thing. Suspect that the fallout with both our families would be epic however…
