hard to say, depends what mood Billy is in and how much he decided to rewrite history. I think James must have done a lot though, just isn’t the same without him, and think a lot of the weird atmospheric ebow and whammy stuff is probably him. there is that story about how on mellon collie he got annoyed with james for not coming up with a solo so overdubbed loads of them in a row

the solos are the best bit about the smashing pumpkins and I don’t like solos that much. Much better than the boring rhythm guitar so credit to whoever did the crazy solos
