Don’t struggle too much, the cat normally wakes me up demanding food and I can’t deny that so…

(I just struggle with everything else in the day tbh)

I bounce out of bed around 06:30, make coffee for my GF and then laze about in bed for an hour while she gets ready for work. If I didn’t work five minutes from our apartment I’d get up at 06:30 but fuck that m9s.

Keep hitting snooze for at least half an hour then fuck about on my phone for at least another ten mins, it’s a nightmare

Most of us clearly ought to be ashamed of ourselves.

Are we?

Yes

Nah. I’ve made my peace with it. I’m amazing 90% of the day - the world will just have to sort itself out until I’m ready to engage with reality.

yes and it’s my first thought when I wake up

My train goes every 30 minutes which really helps because as I’m lying there I have to make the decision as to whether to get up now or in 30 minutes.

Back when I had a more frequent / cycling commute then I had no motivation to get up the moment my alarm went off (“5 more minutes…”) but now I’m pretty much like clockwork.

Really hard, I actually wake up feeling sick and dizzy every day, it’s really difficult to get out of bed

Everyday, without fail, my first thought in the morning is ‘just 5 more minutes’ - looped every 5 minutes

Feel physically in pain whenever I wake up, like my brain has been depleted of vital nutrients and there are bags of poison under my eyes, can’t make myself get up anything before the very last moment, so I’m often late because I’m not good at judging when the last moment is

I’ve been getting up very early for so many years that I get up and get going with relative ease, while hating every second.

Nowadays, there are also health issues that factor in my waking up by 5:30, whether or not I want to.

Early bird by force, not by choice.

Waking up before your alarm

  • Makes the process easier
  • I’ve made a huge mistake
  • Bit of both

As an old, I usually wake up between 5:30 and 6:15 needing a slash. But I normally can get back to at least a snooze after that.

My alarm goes of at 7:15 in the week and I always get up straight away and make a brew for me and my partner.

But then like a massive idiot I get back in bed. If I go into an office I usually get up again by 7:30, but as I’ve been working at home almost full time recently, I can end up getting up any time between 7:30 and 8:15.

At weekend I rarely get up before 8:00 or after 9:00:

I’ve been considering this so might try it

I am almost completely unable to get back to sleep and it’s really awful.

Often at weekends I’m up before 7, and around two hours before my girlfriend :upside_down_face:

Have got into a bad habit of waking up naturally at 6:30 or earlier and being wide awake for ages, but then falling asleep half an hour before I actually need to be up and then really struggling to get up.

Could do with my bed giving me electric shocks when I need get up
