Lol my friend plays in Killdren. Looks like they’ve been dropped from the lineup.

I’m not sure where you can draw the line with this, will they drop The Cure next for having a song called Killing An Arab?

I think a line can be drawn fairly easily.

If the song was called ‘you should kill an arab’ then yes, but it’s not. You’re comparing a song about the futility of war to a couple of edgelords inciting violence based on political leanings.

Sorry I’m definitely not defending the band in question, I just think banning acts based on their song titles could be a bit of a slippery slop.

No, it’s fair enough and I hope my reaction didn’t come off overly strong. Just seen a lot of people saying it’s the death of protest and stuff and I’m like

This is a band featuring a fair few friends of mine, and as mentioned in the replies, has somehow gotten featured on Sky News’ coverage of this, which must have given the editors a minor myocardial infarction.

I think maybe the reports of their on stage ‘antics’ could have contributed to the decision:

A recent performance at Boomtown Fair featured a simulated attack on a man dressed in a suit to represent a Tory voter.

Reckon its a pretty clear cut and easy decision to drop them tbh.

I thought the best way to scare a tory is to read and get rich but it turns out threatening to kill them works better

Yep.

Also, it’s probably getting the band more attention than their set would’ve.

I’m sure SMASH played in 1994 when they had this out

Any more recommendations? Denzel Curry Thursday night at the Truth stage should be wild, his music is just end to end bangers.

Amazing that he’s only getting half an hour.

Liniker E Os Caramelows are on the Thursday night as well, 02:00 at the Pussy Parlure. Brazilian neo-soul/funk. They’re pretty good.

Tickets usually go on sale in October right?

Just noticed Scalping are playing Sunday night, great mix of dance and noise rock.

John would have wanted it this way
