GlastonTelly 2023 đŸ“ș

Can confirm. My friend from work is mainly into Oasis, The Libertines, DMAs etc.

Loves Arctic Monkeys and I remember him being a bit hesitant about Tranquillity Base when it came out but he loves them so persevered.

When The Car came out I asked him what he thought, expecting the same reaction, but he just immediately replied with “It’s fucking genius”.

I love that.

Was channel flicking the other night and landed on this. Karma Police was followed by Angels just in time for my wife to walk in and get very, VERY angry.

It is a bit weird that, at a festival with probably about 10,000 songs performed over the weekend, the BBC are like “hey we’ve got someone to perform for us exclusively in our little studio”.

This time in two weeks i’ll be at a festival that has Young Fathers and Fever Ray playing at it so today was good at turning the old hype-o-meter up

bbc radio has always been so obsessed with music ‘in session’ that literally only 3 people can properly appreciate, whereas for everyone else, the studio version would be far better

has no one had the cojones to tell them yet?? john peel’s been a dead peado for quite a while now

Fucking disgraceful

AM should have gone all in and fucked off Fluorescent Adolescent and played Do Me A Favour instead

I HATE this! Always have. It’s a big festival and I want to watch people playing live at the festival and not them doing an acoustic song sitting on some bales in front of Jo Wiley. Fuck offffff!

Would have been up for Hot Chip doing the full I Am The Resurrection outro, rather than just teasing the bass riff.

Agree on the flags, apart from this Lenny flag during Angel Olsen a few years ago

The Fever Ray set is so awesome. Saw 'em around the time of the first album and it was great but this is better. Staging makes me think of The Exorcist and the meeting above the convenience store in Fire Walk With Me, these are surely lodge spirits. Even It Out is enormous!

Thought Arctic Monkeys were way better than Carley, personally.
