Go back and look at my posts in this thread and tell me if you honestly think they constitute harassment, please.

Btw I think you make amazing art and should be paid an equal amount to Michael Stipe for your efforts. I have no discernable skill and am incredibly envious of the talent you have.

In this thread I consider them low-level haranguing and goading me into a response

I have average talent and make the same kind of art as many people, I would like to be paid an average amount for it that would be nice but thank you all the same

genuinely don’t think we all agree on this

i think your definition of huge personal wealth is anyone earning above average though - seemingly, i could be wrong, there’s a lot of posting to keep track of

I would say less than this but let’s say for sake of compromise, 10 times national average wage

this would include almost all famous people above regional level surely

fair enough. the average wage in the UK strikes me as disturbingly low i have to say, I remember reading some stats and being taken aback

well looking at it more in principle in a fair society, the average wage would be something a person in non-exceptional circumstances can be expected to live comfortably on. Why should anybody need 10 times this amount?

single parents in London need £250,000 a year?

Depends…
I’m a worrier and I always think of worst case scenario - what if i end up ill or incapacitated and can’t work? would be nice to have a cushion for that scenario. Your scenario assumes that someone is always working and has a consistent income, indefinitely.

the state should look after those people, that would be part of the whole point of reducing wealth and power inequality

This thread needs a trigger warning. I was quite happy earlier.

This thread is perhaps the worst thread in the history of threads

Ideally yeah but when do you see that scenario in the UK? Or the US for that matter? People have to deal with the system as it is.

in an ideal perfect situation yeah but I accept that is too low for all variables so apologies for getting it wrong there, would like to set it around £80-100k right now and gradually bring it down.

Hadn’t realised this thread would descend into Stipe bashing.
