Hi it’s my birthday today. Going home to my parents’ for it and meeting my mum for lunch first. Nothing else really planned as my proper (joint) party was a couple of weeks ago.

Weather was gorgeous as I was leaving Belfast, getting closer to home now it’s a little cloudier so starting to regret not treating myself to a lovely sunny day in all my favourite bits of the city and going home tomorrow instead. The draw of lunch was too much though

I am beginning to wonder if it’s privatisation, or just us. :upside_down_face:

A very poor start to the day but I’ve just had a beer and am going to pull this out of the fire

Nooooo. I asked my s-nan if there was anything we could bring and she’s asked us to pick up a Daily Mail. Every fibre of my being is recoiling at the idea of buying and therefore distributing that hateful, fascist toilet paper. I really don’t want to.

  • Don’t buy it, it’s a pretty big compromise of your principles - pretend the shop was out
  • Buy the paper, you’re not going to change her mind about reading it and she’ll just buy it anyway

I want to go to tebay and then walk along a river

Ps. My s-nan is lovely.

It’s only a 90 minute drive away :grinning:

Christ. Just up, and popped down to see me nephew who were down the road, man they were full of beans.
Shower, food, Bloody Mary I think.

Suns oot but taps will be kept oan.

Happy holiday weekend you lovely people. :+1::grinning::sun_with_face:

I’m probably not fit for driving…and I don’t have a car.

On the plus side I picked up these lovely strawberries at the wee market. £1.50 a punnet.
Punnet is a good word! :+1:
