I’m trying to have a big work sesh, which I’ll reward with a pizza later.

In relation to that, is it alright to use the first-person in a research statement (“In my dissertation, I aim to…” for example)? It seems like it could be a tad dodgy, but I can’t think of another way at this point in time to actually start the thing.

Have spent the day helping the TV prepare for the first outing of her food business which is happening tomorrow at a nearby winter fair. Cambridge DiSers ( @colon_closed_bracket @Epimer et al) do come say hello if you find yourself in Gwydir Street car park - we’re selling (hopefully) delicious cheesecake. I wouldn’t know if it’s delicious because I hate the stuff, but we’ve had good feedback so far.

I’m afraid I’ll be in Norwich all day tomorrow, but it’s definitely for the best for the residents of Mill Road and the surrounding area that I’m not allowed anywhere near cheesecake anyway.
