My dad banned himself from Percy Ingles cause he got into an argument about some doughnut holes. The details are too fuzzy for me to retell the story.

oooooo - that’s gonna sit heavy

you’re not still a Brighton person are you? Thought you were elsewhere

VERY much looking forward to this and from what I can deduce I will be in their delivery area. Looks like I’m gonna be getting fat.

Nah, lived there for a few years, a few years ago - I’m a fen-dweller now.

I like this shop for wine and beer.

Also CLAPTON CRAFT

Always getting my growler out for the boys to refill

YES. They’re good!
I like the TSB which has broccoli on it. They also do a brilliant chimichurri crust dip

In South Wales there was this bakery chain called Ogmore Vale and man they were good. Would get my birthday cakes from there. Defunct now obviously.
No they’re not!! Just much smaller.
Oh no, they are.

Not a chain as such…but I hadn’t cone
across /gastropubs/cafés that do “cake-away” until I moved to south Yorkshire. Don’t know if it’s a national thing.

Not meant to be a reply to Meo…

on the beer shop theme - Bison beer now have a Hove branch so I guess that counts as a chain. Good wanky beer shop
