Good vegetarian / vegan places in Barcelona

Going to Barcelona for the first time in a few weeks, and I’d quite like to be able to eat while I’m there, so please hit me up with good vegetarian restaurants / cafes / whatevers. Cheers!

Open to any other (child friendly) recommendations as well. Double cheers!

CatBar is really nice. No cats… just very tasty good value veggie/vegan food and craft beer.

love Aguaribay - a bit further out from the centre in Poblenou (found it before primavera one year), definitely worth visiting if you’re around there http://www.aguaribay-bcn.com/

Here are a few recommendations:

The Green Spot – upscale and trendy, creative Asian fusion
Sésamo – been around forever in the Raval
Vegetalia – a chain but decent quality… inexpensive lunch menu during the week
Rasoterra – these guys are the HQ of the local Slow Food movement
Gallo Santo – trendy newish Mexican place, good quality
Vegan Bowls – carryout place near Universitat, great avo toast + Beyond Burger
VegetArt – shop in Gràcia, owner does amazing things with vegetables
The Living Food – another food shop, in Sant Antoni, heard the vegan cheese is incredible

First night in Barcelona, tracked down the Cat Bar. Enjoyed the mural outside, started chatting to the owner(?) who told us he’d closed for a weeks holiday just a couple of hours ago. Headdesk. There was a good empanada place a couple of doors down though and we have filled our boots there. So basically I’ve come to Spain to eat pasties. I hope @Funkhouser is proud.

Can’t be far off Ivor opening a Spanish outlet. Keep up the good work.
