Bum
that was generous to say not quite! I was going off the ‘flocc’ bit which I thought might be cannibalised from ‘flocculent’! Tis a mighty fine word if I ever have the brain capacity to remember it!
TINTCT
That is a good trick, reminds me of the one I got taught for necessary: it is necessary that a shirt has one Collar and two Sleeves.
Lots of good cycling words, but none of them English words
Other than echelon!
The most basic one, but peleton really is such a nice sounding word.
Crevaison
Baroudeur
Deelnemers
Fringale
Kinderkopjes
Vestibule
Funicular
And I love handwriting “Egypt” 3 letter in a row that drop below the line…yes please.
Never heard fringale and can’t seem to find what it means in a cycling context.
In general I love it when things have their own little niche lexicon, but I like it even more when it is like cycling and it is made up from more than one language.
Words in general are just really fun.
It’s to do with ‘bonking’
Wretched
Go on, try it. “Wretched.”
Phosphorylation
Not a word, consideration
Means the addition of a phosphate group to a molecule of something. Very satisfying word to write.
Sure it does…
I think I’m going with
FAUTEUIL
Lugubrious
Probably still:
Schadenfreude
Brutally disappointed this wasn’t the classic reply to someone posting the 20th letter of the alphabet.
