make some kind of decision

Continue putting baby first
Restart guitar lessons
Finish war and peace
Get my golf handicap
Mayyyybe make some music

Oh and try for fat bonus at work

fair play these all seem very achievable!

Get a new job
Go to a few European football matches
Go to gym more
Start jogging

Yep seems do-able. Mostly all about the first one though!!!

nah my problem really isn’t a lack of meeting new people, doing a masters in a new city and i am surrounded by an abundance of cool and interesting people that i interact with on a daily basis and sometimes even hang out with. it’s just that my personality is inadequate and i’m incapable of platonic intimacy, neither of which are conducive to forming substantial friendships ¯_(ツ)_/¯

but maybe i just need to get REALLY into yoga and nature and embrace a life of solitude

gonna work on abolishing banter

Two main ones

  1. release an album (2 if you include Post Louis)
  2. move to Berlin and do my masters

All good stuff!

The next step is putting those goals into measurable targets. So instead of “get better at golf” it could be " reduce handicap by two" or “buy 24 goals lessons.”

This year instead of “travel more” I put “visit two new countries”.

What gets measured gets improved!

Who’s with me? C’mon! puts on spandex starts lunging

Weirdly I think my post conforms to your rules here. I definitely know what I want out of 2017 it seems.

Read at least one book a month
Get back into climbing
Better work-life balance: do enough work in the day so I can stop at 5pm. I currently faff all day and rush it out between 3.30 and 7pm which is pointless
Go for a few weekends away in Europe while we still have the chance of cheap tickets and easy border controls

Fuck yes this.

ride a 200km audax
ride a 300km audax

how far through W&P are you?

Couple of hundred pages. Finding time to dedicate to it is hard as we have a little one but I’m determined to get it done. It’s actually really lovely to read.

^this. Took me two attempts as I lost my copy about 400 pages in, and by the time I got another I’d forgotten everything and had to start again.
There are long, long sections that I found myself thinking, FFS just get on with it, but on the whole it is really entertaining to read. I like that it takes ages - you really feel like you inhabit the world after a while. enjoy!
