Dunno if I’ve missed something but I find it weird when the dragons are referred to as Dany’s children - like, she didn’t actually give birth to them did she? Someone gave her some eggs and they hatched, right? They’re her pets, the Starks didn’t call their direwolves their children.

Bear in mind that I can hardly remember anything about this show that didn’t happen in the last week.

Impressive that you binned it off so close to the finish line. I eventually lost patience with stuff like Walking Dead but that shows no sign of ending, ever.

Some of the reactions to the last episode are bizarre. Maybe because - despite really, really liking it - I’ve never had a particular attachment to it, or the books, and possibly due to the fact…

Gave up years ago but occasionally dip back into things like this just to see what’s happening. Can’t say there’s much that’s made me regret stopping.

As I’ve said previously I’d like to have binned it off about two whole seasons ago but was watching it with a friend and it seemed mean to quit. I wasn’t hating it back then although it was constantly disappointing me with the quality of the writing. This season though was the worst yet and I couldn’t justify wasting any more of my life watching it.

That said I’m loving the discourse and am endlessly amazed at just how differently people react to it - absolutely poles apart.
