The One Where Nobody Important Dies

can’t remember those ones

The Night King isn’t important but you all want his life story?

Bit gutted that Beric went out. Best look in the programme (great hair/beard/eye patch combo, flaming sword), formed a nice double act with the Hound, a voice like molasses, some nice bits of wisdom dropped here and there and all round a top fella.

it was very wacky races wasn’t it. will pitstop escape? find out soon! cut back and she’s nowhere near the cliff she was about to drive off.

still really impressed with the opening surge, how it was silent save for the rasps and thuds of zombies hitting the defensive lines of unsullied, this tumbling wave of the dead swamping the soldiers. great filmmaking that.

the problems outweigh the good imo but we’ve decided we ain’t gonna see a show with this level of ambition or budget for a while again so we’ll just enjoy the good stuff init.

Yeah I’m just happy that in the age of streaming that this kind of television event can still happen. It’ll be years til we get something like this again.

just read the plot of hardhome, still can’t remember much of it but sounds a bit silly. think you maybe all expected too much given how the last few seasons have been

Hardhorne was great but BoB was top for me for the shot where the knights of the vale swarm in around Jon standing on his own. Cracking cinematography.

Yeah, my expectations for this series were really low given the last couple. And I am absolutely loving every episode as a result

@whiterussian was thinking, didn’t dany leave some unsullied and dothraki in essos to help keep the peace? if she has to call them up for service that could mean the second sons join the fight too…

thought that was very deliberate in that he clearly wanted to help him but couldn’t as he was on the clock for something more important

Threw that flaming sword like a champ at the end to save Arya. I assume that was the final purpose the lord of light kept bringing him back for.

He certainly did. Great lad.

tbf that first wave of cannon fodder was a bit

would have liked it a bit more if he had saved her in a way that necessitated the flaming sword

just felt a bit like literally anyone could have helped her there and it was clearly a lot of bother bringing him back to life so many times idk

Hope first ten mins of ep 4 is Arya getting increasingly desperate for Bran to give everyone an unambiguous account of her heroic Godswood badlad dispatching.

I just assumed she meant Arya had killed some zombies TBH.
