s7 was better as a binge watch than weekly, but that episode where the unsullied sack casterley rock but the lannisters have pretty much abandoned it to go sack highgarden and it all takes place in about 15 mins is still unbelievably shit, a real low point even including the ed sheeran cameo. each of those things would take an entire episode earlier on, it’s terrible. oh! and the greyjoy on greyjoy action is the worst shot, lit and edited battle ever made, not just in game of thrones. appalling television, it looks like eurons ship is coming from the fucking sky to begin with and then there is no way of telling what’s happening because it takes place in pitch darkness lit by tiny sparks and there’s a cut every half a second. awful, awful stuff. also the whole, it takes about 5 mins to get from one place to another despite them mentioning in one episode that winterfell is a fortnights ride from kings landing is outrageous. but yeah, better watched in one day than it was over two months, that’s for sure
