One question I hope is answered or it might have been and I have forgotten

What did the Walkers need Craster’s kids for is it that only true White Walkers have to be made from the touch of the Night King?

What I thought this was excellent, had me well up several times

Think it was kind of just a compromise that allowed Craster et al to stay that far north without everyone being killed?

And it’s still not been confirmed in the books so all characters are still unaware. Like it was only confirmed to fans of the books when it was revealed in the show.

Up to a point that’s what I thought but, didn’t one of seasons make a big deal of one of the kids being touched by the Night King (to the point that I think the season ended with that scene). Though the might have been more to it. And to throw this in maybe everybody gets killed in crypt apart from baby sam who is to become a White Walker. I always thought the taking of babies was far more important that it will probably become.

I figured that was just to show what the WWs did with them and why they wanted them, but by all means, you might be on to something. Also because the babies aren’t dead when they take them, and presumably keep growing?

I call dibs on “the worm… Has turned!” when he becomes a wight.

no way the great war is ending by the end of the next ep surely, we’ve been building to this for years!

they didn’t really, they just took the first one out of politeness, then he kept leaving them out and they were too embarrassed to say anything

I just don’t have emotional investment in the characters anymore, because the writing has been so bad for so long. And the writing of this episode wasn’t strong enough to stand on it’s own feet - it needs you to love these characters.

Felt like an episode of Parks and Rec in one of the later 3-4 seasons, where the entire storyline depends on you being emotionally invested in the characters being happy (and also having settled heteronormative boring existences)

Predictions for next week:

  • deaths: greyworm and miss, tormund, reek.
  • bran and nk have a jedi mind battle. Bran pulls an obi wan death.
  • weirwood tree is an ent and kicks some ass.
  • zombie Hodor shows up and fights Tormund Street fighter 2 style.
  • all the bodies in the crypt are reanimated of course.
  • a bit of warging please. Bran is all talk no warg.

Longer term predictions - Danys a goner.

Totally a mind battle like that or Dinner for Schmucks.
Also I was thinking of Bran saying surprise sisterfucka in the voice of this guy:

the person I live with who makes me watch this programme has been saying this for years. He had one good bit of plot and no bloody idea what to do with it. And everyone worked it out anyway. That’s why the past few series have been rubbish. People not meeting each other is not a plot. I for one am glad they are all meeting again and at least something is happening. Spoilered because no one will like this opinion, sorry everyone
