Would expect some of the actors didn’t want tied in much longer too

Remember when the red witch killed herself because she couldn’t take s8 anymore

Classic thing of a show blowing up and hollywood beckoning innit.

Can’t remember where I read this so could be talking shite - but I’m fairly certain that around S4 the main cast negotiated updated contracts that had all kinds of stipulations. These included the minimum amount of screentime they would have, meaning that some characters couldn’t be killed off and some plotlines were shoehorned in (thinking of Jamie and Bronn’s journey into Dorne which just straight up fucking sucked).

basically only remember what happened in season 1. everything after that was just the television equivalent of legalese setting up that awful ending, which I have also forgotten.

If anyone else is planning on writing a series, try not to kill off ALL the good characters by the midway point.

Ah. <hastily pushes last few pages of ‘A Living DiStory’ in the bin>

I’d recommend people to just watch the first season, but then it’s so good, they’d obviously get sucked in to watching the whole sordid affair.

Covid ‘prison’ technicality

I’m making a citizens arrest!

It ended after Jon Snow died. That’s the line

It doesn’t really go downhill until the final 10 minutes of the finalé to S4 so that’s a good innings.

Sounds like GRRM did a bang up job at hosting the Hugos over the weekend

Oh wow. I’d seen a lot of complaints on Twitter about the Hugo ceremony but I’d totally missed that it was GRRM at the centre of it.
