I missed all the prequel chat. Looking forward to loads and loads of exposition about the Night King’s origins. $50 million an episode will pay for LOADS of words!

Must be magic because heavy armor (AC18+) encumbrance penalty cannot be ignored even for high strength characters.

He said when appointing Tyrion as hand that he doesn’t want to be king - which implies that he knew he was likely to be put forward and he’s doing it more out of a sense of duty. If you take him at his word.

Which parts of the end of season 4?

The bits where they threw the book out the window:

Brienne fighting The Hound
No Lady Stoneheart

Needed a post-credits scene of him being wheeled by Podrick to that bit Cersei liked looking out of, and being asked to be left alone. Then he stand up from his wheelchair, walks over to the window, pours himself a glass of wine, and says ‘well, that all worked out very nicely I think?’ and Littlefinger emerges from the shadows and says ‘Oh yes, very nicely indeed’ (in a Scottish accent) and then Bran hands him back the knife from the first episode, they shake hands, jaws drop and OUT.

Needs a smirk while looking out into the middle distance, but otherwise :+1:

Both improvements on the books :+1:

the only reason people get upset about lady stoneheart is to let other people know they’ve read the books and know something they don’t

we lol’d when tyrion found jaime’s golden hand in the small pile of rubble in the mostly empty basement. that was so dumb.

Best scenes?

Jon Boi was a wet blanket, but when he got into hero battle mode, it was mostly pretty good

Nah, it’s a great cathartic and slightly weird revenge ending for the Freya plus it allows for more divided loyalties for Brienne vs Jaime.

The Hound dying from infection is a much better ‘ending’ for him.

100% behind this.

Forgotten how good that episode was

bronn should have disappeared after tyrions trial

he just hung around and annoyed everyone

Yeah I believe that’s what would happen in the books TBH but a loved character so I can see why they’d bring him back. The show was always about paring down characters when it could and mostly (eg Robert’s acknowledged bastard into Gendry) it worked well.

Yeah,
Definitely a Normal distribution bell curve for Robson and Jerome

I would have liked Grey Worm to have been protecting Dany as Jon entered the throne room. For Jon to stab Dany as he did, and then for Grey Worm to pull his face off and reveal he was actually Arya. Don’t even need to show the Grey Worm death.

Does Jon know Arya can do the face trick?
