It’s indoors, a kind of warehouse venue, all standing. It has a great atmosphere when its full up. It’s a couple of my mates who are putting it on.
All standing?! Sweet, raffles and epic won’t feel out of place.
Let me know what time we’re leaving cb
sorry duckster, a couple of #brightonmates have taken them all off my hands
New song:
I utterly love it. This album can’t come out soon enough.
After listening to ‘A Lost Machine’ and ‘Way We Won’t’ fucking loads of times I am hoping that this might be as good as ‘The Sophtware Slump’. Fingers crossed.
Edinburgh show announced…23rd March.
This is 3 days before I see them in Newcastle. Think I’ll go to both.
Love Evermore. Think this might be a really good album…
Jason played a stripped down version of this on a BBC session late last year. I didn’t like it then but I love it now. This album is going to be great.
This has leaked. It’s very nice. The singles are the best things on it, but overall listening to it feels like putting on a favourite pair of slippers.
It feels morally dubious reviewing records before they’ve come out.
Having said that, I really liked the singles but the album seems a bit filler heavy for me so far. Being a mega fan, i’ll persevere with it.
Best album? Sumday.
I was with you until you said your favourite album was Sumday.
That’s the album that put me off them. So disappointing compared to the previous 2.
Is it better than the Jason Lytle albums? Will be disappointing/feel like a missed opportunity if it’s not a step up.
I’d probably rank Sumday last out of their albums, but it has some amazing tracks (the first three, El Caminos, Stray Dog)
I like Sumday a lot. Not my favourite, but strong.
Sumday and Sophtware Slump are my favs. Sumday is def the most poppy of all their albums but that’s why I love it.
I’d say their albums follow a very gradual downward trajectory, but with me still loving Fambly Cat.
Even if this new one follows the same trend, I’ll be pretty happy, but based on the three singles I have high hopes.
Agreed. The MOR vibe of Sumday is what clinches it for me.
…and that’s what turns me against it. Just sounds bland to me.
Hey ho.
