Oh I love them - very little is as good as folks with no training in acting doing a scripted performance. The shorter big-beard dude with his wife was exceptional in this respect.

Really liked the look of that pig trotters dish. Have never had them before but reckon I’d be well on board.

Lobster and white chocolate sauce though? Nah mate, not for me.

Hmmm not so sure on trotter. His food is very… visceral

Catching up after a week on holiday. Thought the North East was generally not great, but London already off to a great start.

Really liked Selin last year so very happy she is back. I have booked a table at her restaurant for a treat with the TV next week, massively looking forward to it:

They are always blathering on about ‘the banquet’ on this programme. Gets right on my nutsack.

Not my favourite of the cooking programmes.

Just watched the fish episode. That pie is genuinely shocking. What show does he think he is on? It looks like pub food.

Watched the first couple of scottish courses. I like the lady’s really steely glare.

Also find it funny that the veteran judges always wear their chef uniform all day.

This was a great meal. Really enjoyed the variety and strength of flavour. Highlights were the halloumi, the grilled cauliflower, octopus and the baklava/mozzarella dessert.

Haven’t caught any GBM this week so looking forward to a 5 episode marathon on the weekend.
