why do you all love making threads for really specific things so much.

I would say Great Things is a very non-specific thread compared to some and that surely specific threads are quite useful things.

In your perfect world would the list just look like:

Loud music
Quiet music
In between music
UK bands
US bands

Social

Today chat
Tomorrow chat
Yesterday chat
All quizzes
All ranking of things at any time
