Seeing these kids’ faces is bringing up the trauma of seeing my dad dressing up as an elderly female relative as a joke but you’ve gotta laugh eh

really? she’s like 18 months or something they literally spend their lives bumping around and things, she’s fine and I think people are being a little bit too serious about it. She wasn’t roughly grabbed IMO.

Why would someone put a child at unnecessary risk to catch a ball to show off? Yeah, she’s fine but what a twat her dad is IMO

But then I liked the leopardwoman one which probably has done more damage to the kids, so who knows

I dunno he didn’t intend to drop her it was just one of those things and an instinctive decision, don’t think we need to be too hard on him I remember having near-drops when my kids were small as I’d be holding them and trying to do other things at the same time, like holding one and playing with the other or something. His parent reflexes kicked in which we all have.

Agree about Leopardwoman that definitely seems a good way to end up with a traumatisd child.

Difficult to fully assess from the clip what the hold was before the ball arrived on the scene, but it looks like the kid was (also) holding on to beer arm in some way. Might have been some ‘leg/knee chair’ thing going on. 🤷

I dunno, as soon as he felt the child was in actual danger i’m sure* he would have given up on the ball/beer all together and grabbed her. I reckon the whole act was instinct - ball/kid/beer and as soon as one of them started to go the kid would be prioritised! I’ve never done anything like that but can kinda see where he is coming from.
