Well exactly, the entire culture around drinking like that has completely changed.
Another victim of Cancel Culture
Not really sure it was ever highly realistic though.
I would, however, guess there are indeed still working class people in their 30s who are barflies of particular cheap locals, yeah.
Yeah agree, in the same way that the amount of time the FRIENDS spend in a coffee shop is unrealistic, but necessary for the set up.
Maybe? I feel like everything kind of works against it though.
can someone PM me the star wars meme where anakin is hiding his face in his hands because I scrolled through about 500 posts last time I was here
That makes Frasier look a lot like my brother. I of course resemble Foxy Ted (lol no)
Kind of cheating when they photoshop out the wrinkles isn’t it? Like “wow he looks younger if we make him look like a hipster, and also make him look younger!”
With the obvious caveat that this is only acceptable if no one has been hurt:
But… …ach, I can’t do this. Beyond just saying that this does not compute seeing as ‘hipster’ lost all meaning more than a decade ago. So ahm oot. No further correspondence will be entered into. Have a lovely weekend everybody.
Frasier was a psychiatrist
All this talk of hipsters just makes me think of this:
That Daniel Radcliffe, you can’t fool us.
Let’s see Daniel Radcliffe play the groove from Follow You, Follow Me and then we’ll know for sure
I can’t unsee it now.
WRIGGGOOOOO
There must be a krillionaire joke there somewhere.
To be clear I know he’s not supposed to be working class, but I wasn’t explicit in my “Even Frasier” comment which probably should have included that fact .
Either way, people seem to have an odd view of who the show is meant to represent I think.
