Yeah, I don’t think anyone’s done wrong for posting or liking that, it’s a short and out of context clip which looks perfectly benign. But it’s good to be aware of this sort of stuff, unfortunately Youtube has provided an avenue for people in less well off countries to monetise the exploitation of animals for the pleasure of Western viewers.
Ultimately I think it’s a difficult thing to weigh in morally on the video creators, but the best way to remove the incentive for making these videos is not to watch them and trying to raise awareness of why other people should think twice before doing so. It’s pretty disappointing to see some comments responding to the reality being pointed out with ‘why did you have to ruin our fun?’ ‘Can’t we just enjoy nice things?’ etc.
