I just love the clarity of everybody’s body language in this

It’s great. Like Mr Bean but not completely shit.

Probably because a lot of kiss cam subjects are paid actors

Shit and weird concept to start with. Even more so that they warp it even further with actors.

I don’t want to be a DHOTY-type prick but that looks very staged.

EDIT - or do we all know it’s staged but it’s still funny and I’m … some other type of prick?

Lion King cam is much better, dads holding up their kids like Rafiki holding Simba at the start of the Lion King. Occasionally get guys ignore the child and just hold a beer aloft, always good for a laugh.

I remember this gag from the Sydney Olympics

I just left a whatsapp group because someone posted it.

Laughing so much you accidentally hit the wrong button? Yeah, I feel you.

(also @ma0sm a bit) I think I just started finding it tiring to constantly think “well actually, that was staged”. So much internet stuff is in the weird real/faked borderlands, that I’m quite happy to be momentarily taken in by it.

Another example is that video of Macron with all the garlands wasn’t real (even though it was very realistic), but it’s still just pretty funny as an idea.

Also this isn’t a dig or anything, tbh it’s a perfectly normal reaction to want to know, and probably the sensible one in most respects.

That’s fair enough, I wasn’t meaning to have a go or anything. In this instance I’d discovered that the faking of kiss cam incidents was a professional thing some time back and found it fascinating and a bit depressing. Ever since discovering that, whenever I see an “interesting incident” being shared from one, my basic assumption is that they’re actors, and in this case, the acting did seem quite wooden to me.

However, I don’t think it’s healthy to assume everything shared online is fake and agree that in a lot of instances, it doesn’t even matter. I only reacted this way because of this particular phenomenon, and apologise for making you feel like you needed to explain anything.

I hate/love the liminal para-reality of social media content.

It’s like I’m Kate Bush pretending to be Kathy, and Heathcliff is being played by a video of a ferret “apparently” high-fiving a seagull
