I recently (after this post in the NYT Mini Crossword thread) made a list of all the fiction books I can remember reading. From ~secondary school to ~8 years ago (the last time I can remember reading one). So, not including Enid Blyton stuff, or similar from that phase, or the various choose your own adventure ones. There might be a couple I’ve missed off, bit it’s basically a pretty complete list.

I think the reveal that she was looking after the kids of the people who saved the world wasn’t delivered quite as well as what came before and the comedown stuff after that felt unnecessary to me, maybe a bit schmaltzy / Marvelly
I mean if you’re going to waste a brilliant thing on a shitposting thread then you deserve everything you get.
I did consider only posting it to the regular Simpsons thread but I felt this was too clever to be denied a spot in this thread purely because of some users’ having Simpsons issues
Sure, but they have to have a degree of something odd about them, something that acknowledges you either have to have a particular love of something awful (like Ruffers’s Sonic the Hedgehog sexing robots stuff or whatever) or that the joke is sort of a dad joke and groanworthy.
