I remember some great threads over the years about interesting gift choices for kiddos. As the wife and I begin to organise our budget etc. I thought it would be good to ask around. We’ve got some great ones from here in the past.
So what’s great this year?

This is old but its got non toy ideas in it so arent really subject to trends or change as much and might still be useful.
Hello!
Just thought there might be others here who’d appreciate sharing ideas for kids that aren’t toys because of lack of use/use of plastic/not enough room or whatever your reasons are.
What are some things you’re buying for kids that aren’t toys?
I’m very lucky so far in that M is still over the moon with practical gifts (she gets a toothbrush and toothpaste in her stocking )
Because we have so many books I’m trying to not buy anymore of those either which restricts things a bit…
Exploding Kittens is still big here so I’ve put this on our list
TOTTY 2022 Toy of The Year Winner! A Game of Cat & Mouth is a fiercely competitive, magnet-powered, highly addicting, pinball-ish board game. Suitable for two players over the age of 7.

Brilliant! We are big Exploding Kittens and Throw Throw Burrito fans (though Burrito usually ends in tears…)
Thanks for this!

Big fans of Sapiens in our house, it’s basically Happy Families but with a history theme. Got a couple of other Londji games, La Cuisine is another good one…
