I honestly don’t really recall. I think it was cold and my mates were popping in to get food so I just thought I’d have a tea to keep warm.

I’d have ordered fries but (at least in those days) they couldn’t even do fries right - limp and floppy not stiff and crunchy like Maccy D’s.

I don’t really rate them but BK (or Hungry Jack’s as they are known here in Aus) seem to have a monopoly on SE Asian airports so have had to eat far too many during layovers.

Burger King was already trademarked in at least one state by the time they arrived in Australia. Exactly why they decided ‘Hungry Jack’s’ should be the go-to name I don’t know but it’s there and it’s stuck.

Kinda incredible that they have the monopoly on the BK trademark and couldn’t push it through in aus. Imagine somewhere having a coca-cola so britvic had to call it kooky kate’s coke

EDIT: looks like there were some Burger Kings around but they decided HJ was the more popular name

I’ve never liked how the McDonald’s breakfast wrap doesn’t come with a hash brown, presumably because it contains a flavourless rosti inside, yet the mark up to go from wrap to meal is similar to other items that do come with a hash brown
