well Norway’s, like America’s, is an independence day rather than a patron saint day and only happened 150 years ago so might be why?

it is pretty expensive (but it’s cheap to get to, Norwegian are a really good airline). There are cheaper ways to do it though (and everything is pretty top quality)

Like, rent and beer is London prices and the rest is no better. But people generally make more money here and pay more taxes for a functioning welfare state so it evens out for most people who live here. But for a visit, yeah, pretty expensive at least unless you do your reasearch.
