Has to be Henry for scoring the same goal 150 times and yet no-one was able to stop it happening.

And then that volley against United.

Eh?

Paul ā€œscores goalsā€ Scholes

Depressing to look back even three years and discover a prominent poster could complain about the supposed prominence of women’s football using the phrase ā€œlezzerballā€ and receive only mild opprobrium.

Also, Martin Petrov.

Left edge of the penalty area, open up his body and curl the ball into the far bottom corner. Again and again and again, each time as seemlessly and beautifully as the previous occasion.

I don’t think this is a fair or true appraisal of Thierry Henry’s premier league career

he’s kind of right though

Watched for a minute, one goal vaguely fit the description. Chatting bollocks

if you had BOTHERED to watch the full 15 minutes, you would in fact discover that he did indeed score many goals fitting he_2’s description.

That Henry volley vs United doesn’t really get enough recognition does it? Easily one of the best goals scored in the Premier League imo, why would you even think of doing that.

Would probably get more recognition if Bergkamp hadn’t done a better one the following (?) season.

Suarez had two good seasons in England, ffs.

Also there used to be a youtube comp of all his goals and I swear he scored more great goals than he did average ones. Kinda like Messi I guess.

Gone for Suarez for pure peak.

Otherwise would be Shearer for longevity.

I dunno, man. I can’t stand him but peak Henry is probably the best player the Premier League has ever seen and had the longevity to go with it.

Ronaldo was more ruthlessly efficient (and won more) but Henry as an all-round talent is pretty untouchable.

Doesn’t hurt when your strike partner is Bergkamp of course
