Gabe Guernsey’s solo LP ‘Physical’ that came out on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label a couple of years ago is pretty good as well

Ha brilliant! Used to work in a bar and we used to regularly stick on Fall Back on Fri / Sat nights to bemuse ourselves to the highly varied reactions from punters - most lost their shit to it in fairness!

Had absolutely no idea about Gabe Guernsey’s solo works so cheers for the heads up there. Heard a bit of Nik’s work with Chris & Cosey which was really great too. The last time I saw FF was soundtracking Metropolis at the Science Musuem which was ace!

lotta classic soul & funk bands have sweet drum sounds:

i really love most of the drum sounds that the flaming lips get

obv some classic rock like zeppelin, the police, etc. tons of jazz too of course. can and talk talk are a+
