My granddad had a specific branch of Little Chef that he really rated for some reason, was his favourite place to eat. Will always remember being a kid and going there as a treat with him, it was a fair bit further away than a closer Little Chef and a Happy Eater but he always took us to his favourite one

It’s not that i’m snobbish about ALDIS, i’ll eat soup cold out of the tin ffs, my palette isn’t exactly distinguished, but the ‘fresh’ food there is fucking inedible. The bread, fruit and veg they sell is well past its best. Not for me. Happy to go there for other stuff, but…

I used to actively enjoy going to the student nights at Liquid (when I was a student obviously), please revoke my indie card.

Also I used to frequently be found in Creation, which is what Cardiff Oceana was previously. What can I say? I love big rooms and banging tunes!

Ah are you from Cardiff / did you attend uni there? I remember Creation and people getting bussed there from Uni Hall

I went to Leicester and distinctly remember being bussed to Creation in fresher’s week. Or Liquid. Or some noun.

Soup cold out the tin!

‘What you drinking mate?’ ‘Ah i’m on the Blob tonight.’

Aldi seems massively variable depending on where they are/what they must think the customer base is - the one near my parents’ house (in a shitey, unremarkable Scottish town) is nice and has really good stuff, whereas the two I’ve been to in that London are pits of despair full of shite food.

The yes votes are all work nights out and/or stag dos, surely? The latter for me. Horrid, horrid place.

Mate’s 18ths and freshers weeks, too I reckon

shamefully, because I’ve been denied entry. Twice.

I think it was the one on Division Street.

Sheffield Waterworks or The Benjamin Huntsman? Sheffield Waterworks is a fucking shithole

just about to come in here and say this

think they must only have them in bogtowns

the isle of wight is one massive bogtown but has hardly any of these

it didn’t even get a burger king until about 2004

Last time I was in a Little Chef it took them half an hour to bring me a yoghurt and spoon.

I would have been on one of those exact buses (in fact I nearly got hit by one outside Lloyds) - Cardiff uni graduate and current resident! W

Ooft! I don’t mean to defend them in the slightest but I doubt that’s a request they receive often. I hope you didn’t leave a tip pervo.
