Was at an in-person meeting yesterday. One person dialled in, and their face was on one of the big screens on the wall. Was a very long session, and she kept nodding off. Was pretty awkward.

Yeah was in training for my first job, did pretty much all nighter on the booze, maybe had 1 or 2hrs sleep.

Was falling asleep looking at the computer.

Luckily trainer was pretty chill, asked me what I was up to last night and I was like hmm I’d rather not say

My pal later told me I absolutely stank of booze that day.

Also came close one day after boxing day that I had to work but the phone lines were dead so managed to get an early finish.

Never fallen asleep at my desk, nodded off at big meetings/all day conferences a few times.

I do it all the time.

Bit jealous of people who can fall asleep anywhere

I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep at a desk even if I had to stay there all night

I was at my first post uni job and hated it. Me and 3 other people in the office, one being the director and other his wife. Was over Christmas and they were off so just me and the other guy one day

Went out the night before, did work for an hour or so, leant back and when I next opened my eyes it was mid day. Best thing was there was post on my desk so the other guy had just been working directly opposite me, someone had come up and given me post and I had been kipping away

Went for lunch, came back, stuck my headphones in and watched a film on iPlayer. Good day

Yeah fell asleep in a meeting room where they turned the lights off while someone talked over some boring slides. Don’t think anyone noticed until my phone fell out of my pocket and made a big thud which woke me up and made everyone turn to look at me.

Regrettably not, I have had jobs with my own office where I could have conceivable napped for a chunk of the day without consequence.

If I’ve done an all-nighter in the office, I have been known to have a quick nap after lunch in the loo.

Where I used to work the cubicle was the right layout to use the soft loo roll as a pillow.

Used to do all nighters then go straight to work when I worked in the cash office of HMV - frequently would nod off when counting money. Did not stay at that job long.

My old work had a nap room - it’s a legal requirement in Sweden for companies with over 50 employees. Fell asleep very briefly but then was woken up by the CFO talking very loudly in the meeting room next door, so it wasn’t ideal.

Started in my current place a week after my first kid was born. For the first week, I didn’t do any work, I just had to watch video after video of this Belgian guy giving the driest explanation of the product we work on. I don’t know how many times I nodded off, but some of the people who worked there at the time still talk about my Monster habit those first couple of weeks.

Big night out, drove in. Can’t even remember leaving the house or driving in.
Fell asleep at my desk, manager took my car keys off me and booked me a taxi home.

Was 100% that I was getting sacked when i went in and got a don’t do that again we can’t get hr involved because we’d have to sack you then.

Most thursdays at the arts council, we had team meetings every wednesday and it ended up being huge nights without fail. Director used to book a meeting room for the team thursday morning where we’d chat and have brews or a nap

I have my own office and have more than once used it for this purpose.

Usually after lunch just as the slowdown is kicking in. 10-15 minutes with the door shut, lovely.

Got snowed in and had to stay at the office for 48 hours once, but didn’t sleep

Went straight from glastonbury to an all staff event in nottingham while at the arts council. Fell asleep in the big presentation. Boss pulled me to one side and started giving me a bollocking, I was on a massive come down and just starting crying and they put me on a train home
