Do I remember correctly that you’re from somewhere in SW England or Wales? My mate knows a Merlin and his parents were proper hippies living in a commune in Pembrokeshire.

know loads of people who’s surname is Wild too - this was a v common surname to give your kids amongst hippies in the 70s/80s
