Obviously you do put these hats on to outside too. But the putting them on before a sleep like that is a sort of one-off. Again IIRC.
Hmm, i don’t know. If they’re mainly for the baby to wear outside when it’s cold then calling them the same thing as an old fashioned sleeping cap sounds a bit like calling your jeans pyjamas because you fell asleep in them once

Got gifted one of these on my 17th on a LADS LADS LADS trip to Dublin. Thought it was hilarious at the time.
we were given a lovely blue bobble hat at st mary’s. they said it’s the st mary’s special, bobble hat for baby and tea and toast for mam and dad

It’s hard work getting a good suck on the straw, as it sort of has to loop around the hat, and it makes the beer go flat. Not worth the hilarious* comedy value tbf.
*Hilarious to those who think novelty musical ties and Comic Relief are funny.
