Have you had tablet* before?

*The sweet buttery crunchy Scottish sweet which is somewhat like fudge, but is decidedly NOT FUDGE

After a few shocking revelations across the boards I thought I should really check up on this.

Tablet: like fudge, but goes off really quickly, despite all the sugar it contains.

Hadn’t heard of it before I moved to Scotland, though.

Guess I have Scottish blinders on with regards to the popularity of this confectionary then

I’ve had it yes, it made me think “I wish I was eating fudge instead of this thing that is gone off fudge”

How does it feel to watch people’s respect for you diminishing in real time?

No, kendal mint cake is hard and crumbly.

Can’t see how you wouldn’t eat it all within a day tbh

No and I never intend to.

Tablet > fudge >>> stubbing your toe really hard > Kendal mint cake

It means that it doesn’t travel and so it’s rarely seen outside of Scotland.

Kendal Mint Cake is about going up a mountain
