Help me find a film

Hi DISsers. I’m trying to find a specific film I saw about half of a few years ago. See if this jogs any memories.

  • Rockumentary
  • The band is not well known. Emo/indie adjacent.
  • They are reasonably known in their home town.
  • They go on a tour where the further they get from home, the less people give a shit.
  • They play a very depressing show in a Hot Topic and then break up shortly thereafter.

This is not a particularly well-known film, like I doubt it ever made it to UK/European cinemas. But there’s a lot of musicheads here so maybe it crossed your desk. The chances are that it came out in the 00s.

I might be confusing two films even there…

I’d say Anvil fits part of it, but wouldn’t say the band’s genre matches well enough and it finishes on an up beat.

not this! the focus is on this one band how shitty they are and how quickly the romantic dream slips.

I can’t rule it out. I remember reading about it on a forum and checking it out that day. I could have dreamed the forum and torrenting but, it wouldn’t be a first.
