Here's something I've noticed that you may or may not have also noticed...

People over 50 will generally say ‘feta cheese’, whereas people under 50 will generally just say ‘feta’.

  • Yeah I’ve noticed that too actually
  • I’ve not noticed that previously but now you mention it, that might very well be the case
  • I’ve not noticed that and it is simply not correct

I’m over 50 and just say feta but generally I’d say you are right - older people more likely to add the cheese bit.

Also
younger = parmigiana
Older = parmesan/parmesan cheese

people over 50 will say ‘beef burgers’ wheras those under will say ‘burgers’.

I’m on the cusp and I do both. Same the burger/ beef burger too. Fuck

Something about naan (bread), pitta (bread).

  • I am over 50 and do not do any of these wild, stereotypical things!

A good dividing line is whether you habitually use your proper computer (laptop or desktop) for big purchases. Apparently young types will happily buy a fucking car using their phone and I can’t imagine doing it although when pressed there is no rational reason why. Anything over £200 feels like a big screen job.

I don’t want to sound defensive but lamb and chicken burgers are a thing.

Ah shit…

Yeah, but beef is the default. Like lasagne, you only specify if your being more exotic

Can’t even buy a cinema ticket on my phone

People over 35 will say ‘bao buns’. Us cool young things say ‘bao’
