I just think unless you don’t eat chicken at all (which you may well not), unless you only prepare it yourself, it is very likely you don’t consume chicken with equal or worse standards than Nando’s, most supermarket sandwiches, most fast food chains, most restaurants and street food, yet it gets disproportionately mentioned in regards to Nando’s (who although could be better are above the legal minimum), people get really snobbish about Nando’s so wonder if it is part of that because say I had posted about going to McDonald’s tonight I’m sure no one would have mentioned battery chickens

Not getting snobbish about it, like I said it’s my hangup. Perhaps you’re right, maybe it’s an ignorance is bliss thing here but knowing that Nando’s don’t serve free range chickens and that they acknowledge it’ll be too expensive doesn’t sit well for me. But this is DiS isn’t it, people boycott Nestle and I don’t know where I’d be without a peanut Kit Kat.

This is going to sound really disingenuous but I honestly hope you enjoyed it.

The ignorance is bliss thing I guess the thing that bugs me, like if it was a vegan or vegetarian making the point (don’t know if you are), I would just accept it’s a fair point, but a lot of the time I suspect it is other meat eaters bashing Nando’s and I am really sceptical the meat they consume is always up to the best standards (because so few places are), so just think it is a bit off when people single out particular places that people enjoy. But then I guess the argument is true no matter what the person saying eats, so should just accept that.

But yes, I did enjoy my Nando’s thanks
