They supported Idlewild once and were very good. There’s an EP but nothing else. Can’t believe they supported the Small faces!
I just had a listen to After The Gold Rush. Quite liked it
Dive in buddy!!
Looking forward to the new old LP?
I booked the day off of work already. So yep just a bit
this song also mentions neil
Tempted to buy the LP. Phoebe Bridges, Owen and Mountain Goats all ordered for that day already. I sense a big self indulgent signer songwriter sad man day coming on
EP review and stream
Dylan’s new one out that day as well, going to be a solid day. I think you should book it off.
Knowing my post it will be Monday!
was tempted to see Young and Dylan together here last year but they picked somewhere awkwardly out of the way for their Irish date
They genuinely cold have done that, Dublin and a Belfast easily. Gutted I missed Neil Young a few years ago when Laura Marling supported.
I was browsing in the Record Spot with a mate, discussing that gig beforehand, and my mate said something along the lines of “I’d go if was just Neil, but fuck Bob Dylan”. Yer man behind the counter took serious umbrage at that
All I’ll say Neil definitely still has it live. Saw him two years ago and he was in top form, solo acoustic, don’t pass up seeing one of the all time greats if he comes back. He has been knocking it out of the park live streaming solo from his house recently too. I can’t attest for Dylan recently although I am looking forward to his new album.
tbf Neil has aged far far better than Bob in that he still sounds like Neil Young. i’m a much bigger Bob fan (purely for the 60s and some of the 70s) but i imagine i’d enjoy Neil’s set far more now
really like the neil young live at the cellar door record, dunno if it is particularly special as I haven’t checked out many others
Madnedd!
but I asked you the question?
Its brilliant. Have you heard ‘Live At Massey Hall’? Similar vein, sounds like an angel on this performance.
