How about a one-off opportunity to bump one or a few scores by a set margin (say 0.25 or 1.00) - people submit a case for the artist they feel deserve it most in advance by PM, then you hand pick your top 25. Make a thread where each case is laid out anonymously then have a multi-choice poll where people can vote for up to 3 of them. Winners of that poll get a boost (or maybe a drop, see below) in the rankings.

To make it more spicy, cases could be to bump the score in either direction.

You could do a week of specials based on 2-3 acts from the same city that haven’t been covered yet - e.g. a Chicago blues one, a Seattle one with Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Mudhoney a Minneapolis one with Husker Du and the Replacements , a Memphis soul focused one etc.

Y’know how the best bits about the threads are the wee stories folk tell? It could be something along those lines. Tell your favourite ‘click’ experiences, your musical magic moments or maybe these should be threads of their own. Would we want stories about the hgatr artists already covered? Would it not just be a greatest hits of anecdotes?

Or maybe it could be a go to bat with a personal story that explains why one of the hgatr acts has been robbed with too low a score?

Dunno, are these shite ideas? Probably.
