Haven’t seen any other work apart The Deuce which I am a big fan of.

Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets is an incredible incredible book though

Generation Kill is one of the best ever. A strong 5.

Treme I never really gelled with, but it was watchable. 3.

Haven’t seen enough of Homicide or any of Show Me A Hero.

The Corner has some brilliant moments but doesn’t quite work as a whole, still give it a 4 because it made me feel things

Can we have a bit of consistency mate? Twin Peaks had a couple of hours but Wallace and Gromit almost got a fortnight?!

#10

I was on holiday mate!

Doesn’t really matter does it

#13

have you read the corner book? I couldn’t get on with it at all despite loving homicide. was a while ago and though so maybe I need to have another crack at it

Feel like the W+G specials should be grouped together and given an average score

  • You’re right lastdino
  • On balance lastdino is right

Might adopt this new brisk pace for HGATR and do a couple more over the weekend.

I didn’t see the end of show me a hero but i’d watch more of that sort of stuff about housing if he made more.

how come you’ve not included The Deuce?

#18

No I haven’t and I did give it a go. Think I was just more intrigued by the world of the homicide detectives, even though Simon brings the drug addict aspect to life incredibly in The Wire.

it hasn’t finished yet, all these polls are for shows that are done and dusted

The Wire goes without saying.
Loved Generation Kill, goodto see Ziggy back in action and a nice alternative view to the usual war dramas.
Really enjoyed Treme and the music for a few seasons but I think I gave up after season 3.
The Corner is brilliant and from what I remember more heart breaking than the Wire.
