Yes! Geeked out about this to my wife at length and she replied with “oh yeah”

100% this. My only gripe with it

Also has Dafne Keen’s exact face. It’s creeping me out

You’re the one married to a 12 year old mate.

The first appearance of Coulter had a decent number of Dæmons. The bit from the trailer when she’s striding purposefully. But yeah… I’d have just used bog standard domesticated animals. No cgi required!

New Zealand horror sheep might disagree with you there.

Does anyone else yell “NOOOOO!!” and flail their hands around in front of their eyes, while desperately scrabbling around for the remote when the three minute bloody long ‘coming up next time’ trailer runs on?

It was good.
Not enough Daemons and not enough of Lyra’s Oxford before she leaves, imho. Also, in one of the very first scenes she runs into someone and says “I’ll help you clean up later!” or something along those lines. V out of character for the Lyra we first meet in the books.

I enjoyed it too. Never read the books, but this is pretty engaging

Found it really shocking when Ghislaine Maxwell hit her daemon and when she set him onto Lyra’s

Why does lyra’s animal change into various different weasel-type animals and a cat and a butterfly when everyone else’s is pretty static?

Hasn’t settled yet cos she’s a kid (I think)

Ahhhhhhh.

This is correct.

I’ve read The Golden Compass. Insane how little information I retain, could barely answer any questions fappable was asking about it.

Tbf there was a lot in that episode not in Golden Compass.

I’m only halfway through ‘The Subtle Knife’ and bits of it already showed up in this episode. Need to finish it before next week.

I read northern lights the other year, like not long ago. No idea about that guy going through mirrors and that…must have skim read like fine, fine, let’s get to the massive polar bear
