Hoggle's journey

In 2005, Hoggle, the spinless little gold digger and far and away the worst character from Labyrinth was found in lost luggage.

He’d been travelling with Jim Henson, and the suitcase was lost. I think they forgot him rather than the airline having lost him as Henson nor his crew noticed.

19 years later the unclaimed suitcase was eventually opened and in it, Hoggle’s rotting body was found.

 Very very long time there from 1986 to 2005 to not open or auction off an unclaimed bag

He was shipped to a doll restorer who spent some time studying Hoggle, choosing the best ways to bring him back to his former glory. There’s a lengthy description on the doll restoration website of how they worked on him, the methods they used, and the care they took.

The restoration took three weeks and Hoggle was shipped back to Alabama where you can now see him on display in their unclaimed baggage gift shop.

He got the transformation he deserved.

I feel like rather than using old photos from Labyrinth as reference they instead opted to use BOTH an old and a young photo of UK character actor Daniel Peacock simultaneously:
