How come there’s no tea shops in the way there are coffee shops??
Like so many faults in society, it is the fault of the popular US Sitcom - The Friends
There are quite a few tea rooms?
I don’t like tea or coffee myself so whichever does a hot chocolate (dark) I’m happy with
Couldn’t agree with this more
Well yeah, but they’re not on the same scale really
Never had someone ask to meet for a tea
Tea is a shit drink for fools, thats why
“Hey, we should grab a Coca Cola some time”
Might start saying that. “Coca Cola” instead of “Coke” every time I reference it.
NO ITS NOT
Well yeah, we’ve got a few here
But you’re not telling me that you’re meeting people for a tea on the reg
There’s a great tea shop near the BRI in Bristol.
But also, no tea shops? In England?
There aren’t as many as there were, but you still get tea rooms, especially in hotels near train stations.
I’d quite like a return of Lyons’ Corner House tea rooms.
Of course you bloody would
When people say they’re meeting for a coffee they don’t mean you’re literally entering into a contract to order a coffee. You can order whatever you like, e.g. hot chocolate if you’re a massive baby with a massive baby palate.
Babies love milk (breast) and milk (other) for the most part
Right you’re all deliberately missing the point, I’m aware of the existence of tea rooms but there are not people meeting for a tea regularly.
A tea room is like… a treat day out thing
Everyone in this thread except me and you is being a real obtuse arsehole IMO
Tea rooms are just for old people though, aren’t they
They’re in garden centres aren’t they
Garden centres would be pretty cool if you didn’t have to drive to all of them to get there
Not sure if anyone has made this clear to you kermit. But there’s a little thing called ‘tea rooms’ you might want to know about. More helpful advice from yer boi aggers
